Hello, I'm Peter G Thompson, the creator of the Reginald Hargrove Mysteries. After a long career as an oil industry executive working in Australia, the Asia-Pacific and the Middle East, finally returning to take a global role in our corporate headquarters in London, I left to build my own company. I am now happily retired and spend my working days on two projects.
Documenting the history of my seventeenth-century manoir on the Somme in France, whilst also renovating it, and writing my novels. These two passions will come together in a later book, which brings together the real-life resistance heroes of Picardy, who gathered secretly at my home to plan sabotage, and smuggle downed airmen back to England, and the hero of my mystery series, in an attempt to thwart Nazi plans. I also plan a prequel to The Crimson Scarf set during. WWI when once again, our hero, as a young man will prove his valour on the Somme.
